Mark is the vice president and chief investment officer of the University of Chicago. He and his 29-person investment team are responsible for the management of the University’s investments, valued at $7.2 billion.

Mike is responsible for the risk management of the University’s endowment. He is the managing director for the endowment’s investments in volatility protection strategies.

Chris is the managing director for the real assets portfolio, which is comprised of real estate, energy and other natural resource investments. The real assets portfolio is $1.3 billion in assets at June 30, 2012.

Pat is responsible for the management of the University’s assets not eligible for investment in TRIP, including the University’s defined benefit plans. Leading a 7-person staff, he oversees the Investment Operations team and Investment Office’s technology initiatives.

Joanna is the managing director of the $1.2 billion private equity portfolio for the University's endowment.
Matthew H. Stone, CFA
Assistant Vice President, Managing Director of Public Markets/Absolute Return
Matt is the managing director for the public markets and absolute return
portfolios, which is $4 billion in assets. He oversees a team responsible for
investment decisions in public equities, hedge funds, private debt, fixed
income and credit.
