Kate Carder

Senior Portfolio Manager, Real Assets

Kate Carder is a senior portfolio manager currently responsible for the University’s investments in real estate and natural resources. Most recently, Kate served as a senior portfolio manager of the public markets and absolute return portfolio, where she was responsible for the University’s investments in credit-oriented and relative value absolute return funds, private debt, fixed income securities, and credit funds. She joined the University in 2010 as portfolio manager for public markets and absolute return.

Prior to joining the University, Kate was a research analyst at Leavitt Capital Management, from 2007 to 2010, focused on absolute return and private equity manager selection and portfolio management. From 1995 to 2006, she was a derivatives trader for Susquehanna International Group.

Kate holds an MBA in finance and organizational behavior from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in economics from Northwestern University.
